Logo Contest

ABOUT THE CONTEST!

The MAAW Committee is looking for a new logo. What is a logo you ask?

A logo is a symbol or emblem that acts as means of identification that will promote instant public recognition. (Think Nike Swoosh or McDonald’s Golden Arches).

• Simple – is it easy to recognize?
• Memorable – is it unique?
• Timeless – will it still be effective in 10 years?
• Versatile – can it be used in a variety of places or mediums (i.e. letterhead, website, advertisements) and in one colour?
• Appropriate – does it convey the message for its intended purposes or organization?

The MAAW logo must be versatile in both English (MAAW) and French (SMSD).

The Committee is awarding an individual prize of $250.00 that will allow the winner to select from a list of gift certificates; as well as awarding the school or organization $250.00 toward a MAAW activity for 2011/2012. Deadline for the Logo Contest is November 1, 2010 with the winner being announced at our MAAW kick off on November 15, 2010.

There is no limit on how many times you enter the contest so send in your logos with your name, address, phone number and school or organization that you are associated with to:
